Covid-19 | Call for construction firms to ‘print’ PPE
Construction firms with access to 3D printers are being urged to get involved in an initiative to print PPE for NHS staff.
Launched by a number of UK architecture practices, The Industry Prints is a co-ordinated effort to manufacture face visors to NHS specifications and distribute them directly to front-line workers.
Architecture firms HTA Design and HOK’s London Studio have worked with the NHS to develop an open-source pattern for the 3D printer to manufacture plastic headsets - and The Industry Prints website has been set up to enable professionals across the built environment industry to get involved.
